Building positive relationships with landowners
Prince Rupert Gas Transmission will continue to work collaboratively with individual landowners to identify issues and concerns while negotiating mutually satisfactory agreements to establish a pipeline right-of-way.
A right-of-way easement, negotiated in good faith with landowners would grant Prince Rupert Gas Transmission the right to construct, operate and maintain the pipeline on a piece of property. The landowner retains the ownership of the property and can continue to use it.
Compensation will be negotiated in a confidential manner and will include consideration of many factors including, but not limited to, market value, land use and site-specific considerations.
In addition to landowners, Prince Rupert Gas Transmission continues to work with a wide range of license and tenure holders including but not limited to, trappers, woodlot operators, guide outfitters and miners. We are committed to working with these businesses to understand their needs and minimize impacts.
24 hours a day, 365 days a year, every inch of PRGT will be monitored.
